Figure Series

Sahabi’s figures, created with the artist’s creative expression, are timeless and placeless. These figures, some times alone and some times in pairs or greater combinations, connect all the memories of “me” to the here and now. The memory of these figures that lack any identity, breaks narrative and linear time, and looks at the viewer from varied multiple perspectives. Sahabi’s range of paintings include primal figures whose eyes have been fossilized and turned into black holes that in connection with the white areas between the colors, de-familiarize the viewer’s visual and figurative memory.
