Masuleh Series

Masuleh Series

The collection known as Masuleh is Manouchehr Niazi's thoughts about places that have a real reference (the city of Masuleh and its buildings). The artist considers Masuleh as the main example of Iranian space, and this area, whose buildings are tiered and stepped, and due to the multiplicity of units, represents a range of Iranian architecture. In this collection, as in his other collections, Niazi has put pluralistic and collective thinking at the center of his works and thought, and has also established a formal and intertextual dialogue with Iranian architecture. In Masuleh's collection, we can see that with the maturity of the artist, the figurative expression has moved towards a more abstract expression, and the light is moving from the focal axis to the diffuse axis.
