Antiquities Series

In this series the realm of existence is seen as a whole, and what ties the entire collection together is the re-imagination of history in the present time. Its most obvious theme is the artist’s sorrow over the loss of Iranian cultural heritage and thus its break from its cultural narrative. In this collection Bahman Rezaei shows that in order to survive, historical and political power in Iran must remain in tune with its cultural and literary power.
