Situation
Niloufar Mousavi was born in 1990 in Tehran. She graduated in the major of graphics and has participated in more than 6 group exhibition and Iran’s sculptors’ expos. Niloufar Mousavi uses a feminist approach to express women’s lived experiences in the form of volumes; and each one of her artworks narrate a different geography. Her first solo exhibition was on July 14th in Mojdeh Art Gallery.
The female figures of this suppressed element, Nails, form the totality of the Situation.
The unevenly balanced situation of the female life experience is the result of the restrictive structures of society, traditions, and pressures that have manifested themselves in the form of curvature in the body and geographical distinction of the foundations. The series is based on the theoretical approach of “feminism” with a conscious distinction that distinguishes the female experience from visual beauty as a repressed body that, in its most difficult state, also has a beauty burden.
This artwork is focused on the connection of female speech and its connection with the space in which they live, such speech is obscured in the belly of the verbal language, and thus the expression of the wording language of the born female has suffered from tensions, crashes, and gaps.
