Utopia Series

As the name of the Utopia collection suggests, Kambiz Khodabandeh seeks to depict his imaginary utopia on the reality of colors, compositions and finally canvas. In this utopia, everyone is present: all elements of urban life, social classes, elements of inanimate nature, etc. are present together in one frame. In this collection, the city is layered, intertwined and multiple space: it is not under the supervision of anyone and the painter imposes his own special law on it, in this special law the presence of another, his acceptance in his diversity and his semantic expressions are important. Khodabandeh places the syntax of colors instead of the poetic syntax of verbal language and by using color metaphors, he has an extension to the life of today's human, in which the darkness of colors is a sign of the fear and loneliness of a person trapped in a machine life.
